Safety
Global WebStores is built around trust. These guidelines help shoppers buy with confidence and help vendors build credibility that converts.
For Shoppers
- Always check for the Verified badge before purchasing. Verified vendors have completed stronger identity and business checks.
- Communicate and confirm order details through the seller contact flow before sending payment: product options, total price, delivery timeline, and return expectations.
- Never send payment outside the platform's recommended checkout flow. If someone asks you to bypass safety steps, treat it as a red flag.
- Report any vendor who pressures you to bypass safety steps, requests suspicious payment methods, or provides inconsistent identity information.
For Vendors
- Complete business and identity verification to build shopper trust. In Nigeria this can include CAC (business registration) and NIN (national identity). Globally, we may request equivalent documents such as a Certificate of Incorporation, business registration certificate, Companies House registration, EIN + state registration, BN, ABN/ACN, VAT/GST registration, or other country-specific proof of registration and ownership.
- Respond to shopper messages promptly and confirm key details clearly so buyers feel safe completing checkout.
- Accurately describe your products and pricing. Avoid hidden fees, unclear delivery timelines, or mismatched product photos.
- Maintain professional communication. Clear policies and respectful messaging help your store grow.
Platform Commitment
Global WebStores reviews vendor verification signals and monitors reports to reduce fraud and improve marketplace integrity. When a report is submitted, the team may request additional evidence, restrict visibility, pause checkout, or suspend accounts where safety concerns are confirmed.
To report a safety concern, send a message with any relevant details (store name, screenshots, order context) through Contact.
